Our Story

Rooted in the Community We Serve

The Gathering Place began with a simple conviction: that a town deserves a kitchen that works with intention. On North Market Street, we bake sourdough the old way — long ferments, honest ingredients, and patience — while curating a selection of groceries that reflect the character of the Southwest.

Whether you're picking up morning coffee and a fresh croissant or gathering supplies for a weekend meal, we've made this space for the people who call Cortez home and the travelers who stop through.

Locally sourced — We partner with regional farms and producers whenever possible.

Baked daily — Every morning, our ovens start before dawn so you get the freshest loaves.

Made with care — No shortcuts, no preservatives. Just real food made the right way.
